Alyssa Ealy Middleton, LPC

Lauren Wallace and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor.

Your child is battling anxiety that keeps them awake at night, depression that’s stolen their joy, or trauma that’s left them feeling unsafe. Maybe they’re acting out in anger, struggling with ADHD, or dealing with grief that seems too big for their young heart. You want to help, but these challenges require specialized expertise that goes beyond parental love and support.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’ve dedicated my career to helping children, teens, and young adults heal and thrive. I understand that children process the world differently than adults—they need approaches that meet them in their natural language of play, creativity, and connection. My experience as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and background supporting children in foster care gives me deep insight into complex family dynamics.

My Approach:

  • Meet them where they are at – Using directive and non-directive play therapy to connect with children ages 5+ in their own language of play and creativity
  • Build healing through connection – Combining EMDR for trauma with CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy to help children process difficult experiences and develop healthy coping strategies
  • Strengthen family bonds – Working collaboratively with families to create personalized strategies that support emotional wellness at home
  • Parent consultations – Guidance and support for navigating your child’s healing journey

What Makes Me Different: I’m in the final stages of pursuing certification as a Registered Play Therapist because I understand that children heal through play, not just talking. My CASA experience and work with foster families means I can navigate complex trauma and family situations with sensitivity and expertise.

Specialized Support For:

  • Children ages 5+ with anxiety and depression
  • Young people processing trauma and grief
  • Children struggling with ADHD and emotional regulation
  • Families navigating anger and behavioral challenges
  • Children and teens with self-esteem issues
  • Families involved in foster care or adoption

“I believe healing starts with connection. I’m here to walk alongside your child and family on this journey.”Alyssa Ealy, LPC
