Casey Reynolds-Purcell, LPC
Your child’s meltdowns come out of nowhere. Their anxiety keeps them from making friends. You see their potential but feel helpless watching them struggle with emotions that seem too big for their little bodies. You need someone who truly understands child development to help them thrive.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience, I’ve helped hundreds of families when their children’s emotional struggles feel overwhelming. As a parent of young children myself, I know that desperate feeling of wanting to help but not knowing how. I specialize in play therapy because children process emotions through play, not adult conversation.
My Approach:
- Meet them in their world – Creating safe spaces for children ages 4+ to express big feelings naturally through play
- Build emotional skills – Using Adlerian Play Therapy, CBT, and DBT techniques to help children manage anxiety, anger, and depression
- Support the whole family – Giving parents practical tools to help their child thrive at home
- Parent consultations – Direct guidance for navigating your child’s emotional journey
What Makes Me Different: I’m in the final stages of becoming a Registered Play Therapist because I’m committed to staying current with evidence-based practices that truly work. My dual perspective as both therapist and parent helps me understand your family’s daily reality.
Specialized Support For:
- Children struggling with anxiety and overwhelming emotions
- Kids dealing with anger and behavioral challenges
- Children experiencing depression and low self-esteem
- Young children ages 4+ who need play-based therapeutic approaches
