Paige Head

Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

Hello! My name is Paige Head, and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) currently receiving supervision as I work towards full licensure. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Georgia College in Milledgeville and my Master’s of Science in Counseling from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. In addition to someday becoming a fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am also working toward obtaining my Registered Play Therapist (RPT) license. My heart lies in working with children and adolescents, as well as their families, so they can live fulfilled and happy lives. My primary goals as a therapist are to connect with you and your child and to collaborate with you both along the way to ensure the highest quality care for you and your family.

In my spare time, when I’m not in the office, I enjoy finding a relaxing place to curl up and read a book (or two), hiking, and exploring new places with family and friends. I love animals (my favorite animal is a river otter); I don’t have a favorite color (I feel bad choosing one over the other colors); and I love to learn!

For example, I am constantly seeking ways to learn more about effective practices and techniques to best meet the needs of my clients. As a counselor, I believe everyone has the ability to create meaningful, positive, and lasting change within themselves. I believe it is my role to create a safe and supportive environment while my clients work to initiate and retain that change. Your mental health and wellness is important, and I will work alongside you and your family to empower, challenge, and support you all in this process.

I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and family systems. I have also completed trainings in the following areas:

-Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
-Crisis Intervention
-Sand Tray
-Play Therapy
-Motivational Interviewing

Everyone’s story is unique, and I look forward to the opportunity to learn about yours and your child’s. If you would like to learn more about me, have any questions about the counseling process, or are interested in scheduling an initial appointment, please feel free to contact me.

Paige is under clinical supervision & direction of Crissy Himelstein, MA, LPC, CPCS, RPT-S
