We have all been thrown a little curve ball in life. Right now, we are responding to COVID-19 and it’s changing our daily routines & how we are interacting with each other. Here at Sunshine Child & Family Counseling we are moving toward Online Counseling to serve our clients during this time of social distancing.
Sometimes it can be scary to try something new and different but now is the time to be brave, embrace change & know that we are still here to help you! Online Counseling is a way for us to have sessions with you in the comfort of your own home. We will be utilizing encrypted, secure HIPAA compliant technology to deliver this service. We have tips for you all to make your Online Counseling session a success. With a little patience and a can-do attitude, we can figure this out together.
❖ Be prepared in advance. We are going to email you a link & that is your invitation to join us. So, get ready a few minutes early. Have your computer or device ready, have your charger cord close too!
❖ Things to consider about your location:
❖ Do you have a good internet connection?
❖ Is it private? You may want to consider ear buds or headphones for privacy.
❖ Is it quiet?
❖ Is there adequate lighting? Make sure it is not too dark or there is not super bright lighting behind you. This helps us see you!
❖ Our attendance policies are the same for Online Counseling as in-person sessions. If you need to cancel or reschedule please let your therapist know 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation charges.
Working together we are still able to provide the same great services that we can provide in face to face sessions. If you have any questions, just ask!
